winter band concert

by Chanyoung Kim (10)

To end a fabulous semester on a good note, the Foothill band program held its annual Foothill winter band concert, in the Foothill MPR. Led by Foothill’s two band directors, Mr. Hinojosa and Mr. Nishimori, the concert featured all three bands: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble.

Along with their contemporary pieces, each band also prepared one Christmas themed piece to perform. The Concert Band, composed of mostly freshman musicians, performed Tricycle, Steel, and 'Twas a Night Before Christmas. The Symphonic Band, played Elements, Rejoice, and See Rock City. Lastly, the award-winning Wind Ensemble, performed Minor Alteration, Fireflies, and Angels in the Architecture. Special thanks to Mrs. Brekke, Foothill’s choir director, for singing both the introduction and the ending part of this finale piece with the group!
