The Trolley Dilemma is a well-known ethical question that involves a decision to push a human off a bridge—thus killing him—to save the lives of five others. Here, I emphasize the life of the individual with the roll of film to ask the question: should the individual be sacrificed for the survival of other members of society?

The government and FBI are increasingly concerned with big tech breaching their citizens’ privacy. Inspired by Orwell’s 1984, I painted a not-so-distant future where individual freedoms are compromised by eyes monitoring from inside your phone.

As the saying goes, “money cannot buy happiness.” Inspired by short stories from Honors English, I painted this wealthy man who tries to break free from the appeal of money. His cry has been silenced, stressing how people lose their identities in their pursuit.
